Less than 48 hours after the launch of Operation KO S'AYE by the Lagos and Ogun State Police Commands, security operatives have recorded major operational successes, rescuing five kidnapped victims, killing four suspected kidnappers, and arresting dozens of criminal suspects.

The police said operatives conducting clearance operations along the forest boundary between Lagos and Ogun states, particularly around the J3 and J4 axis of Ogbere in Ogun State, engaged suspected kidnappers during the operation.

The confrontation resulted in the rescue of five kidnapped victims, while four suspected kidnappers were neutralised. Four other suspected members of the kidnapping syndicate were arrested.

Police also disclosed that a total of 84 additional suspects were arrested for various offences during the ongoing operation. Arms, ammunition, and other incriminating exhibits were recovered from the suspects.

According to the Nigeria Police Force, the operation forms part of sustained intelligence led efforts to dismantle kidnapping networks and deny criminal groups safe havens within forests straddling Lagos and Ogun states.

The Force reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that there is no refuge for kidnappers and other violent criminals, stressing that aggressive security operations will continue until criminal elements are eliminated from the affected areas.

Police authorities also assured residents that Operation KO S'AYE would be sustained to strengthen security and restore public confidence across both states.
